My gran was a wonderful wonderful woman. Wife to Sam Duffy, Mother to Alice, James and Iain and
Grandmother to Kirsty, Marie, David, Lindsay, Sean, Sara, me :), Liam, Gary, Callum, Arron, Noah and
Morgan.

Gran was a very proud lady who always liked to have the best of the best and she always got it, not
only from her own but my grandads efforts throughout life to always work hard and provide for their
family. Despite what my dad, uncle and aunt might say about strawberry mouses and packets of crisps
on a Friday :)

Gran loved to dance and she was very good at it too, always the the one to cathch peoples eye in her
glamerous dresses and fab jewellary.

My fondest memory of my gran was at the age of 5 or 6. Gran and grandad always had a cupboard full
of chocoalte biscuits waiting for us grankids to show up (pink wafers too). One day, gran was
washing my hands as I was covered in chocolate. Only thing was, I used to have a huge mole on the
palm of my hand. Gran scrubbed and scrubbed until my hand was red raw. She was so determined to
clean me up as she was everything...the weekly kitchen clean never went a miss..and believe me it
was CLEAN!! I'll always remember laughing so hard that I think I may have wet myself. Gran didn't
mind though, she just saw the funny side too and carried on. This little story may seem silly but to
me its how I have always thought of my gran and will always remember her.

Even to this day, where ever I go and people hear my sirname they always ask if I'm related to May
and Sam. I am so proud that my gran was May Duffy.

I love you gran and I miss you. You'll will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.

Hi Gran

I hope you were happy with the way everything went on Tuesday. I think you will have been. It was such a sad day to say goodbye, but at the same time we were all together and I know you were with us really. We all had a good sing song and took photos and got a little drunk, just the way I think you would have liked for it to be. By the way grandad did you proud with his choice of buffet, you'd have loved it, not a sandwich in sight :)

Grandad has given each of us grandaughters (and Aunty Alice)a piece of your jewellery to look after and treasure which is really lovely. I have your ring that you bought off of Aunty Alice and I really love it..in fact I want to wear it all ther time but too scared to incase I lose it. Wearing it makes me feel like you're still hear and I like that. I wish you were still here xx

I'm going to see grandad tonight, make sure everythings in order just the way you like it :) And I'll come and see you real soon, I promise.

Miss you so much gran, love always, Carly xxxxxx
